COLLECTION REPORT S.OLIVER PREMIUM WOMEN S P R I N G / S U M M E R 2015

At s.Oliver PREMIUM women, clear lines and shapes define the new season. Different material surfaces and textures are
the be all and end all in the collections for Spring/Summer 2015. High quality materials, natural fabrics and an exceptional
colour palette provide gentle and modern looks. The areas of summer knits/jersey, trousers and skirts in particular contain
plenty of innovations. Different lengths and new silhouettes provide fashionable accents. The trouser skirt is back, and
alternates with full-length dresses and skirts in flowing materials. The range and variety of dresses is also being further
developed. Blouses and shirts in flowing fabrics remain strong.
There are three major themes throughout the season:

SPORT DELUXE
s.Oliver PREMIUM women is sporty at the beginning of the season. Comfort and feel-good stretch fabrics are going to be
important. Clear lines and light shapes define the picture, and are complemented by asymmetrical silhouettes. The prints
are predominantly graphic and pop-art-style, such as painted stripes and brush strokes. New fabrics and finishes such as
mesh, double face, Neoprene, organza, nylon and heavy jersey provide the required sportiness and nonchalance.
Clear colours such as red, blue and green are seen above all in the prints, and form a contrast to the strong colours of
white and black. Details such as chunky Vislon zips and quilting, sporty cuffs or burnouts are also going to be important in
spring 2015. Yet the clear lines within the silhouette ensure that the style remains modern and elegant. Other key items
in addition to the boxy top or boxy jacket are skater and A-line skirts. Materials such as Neoprene, heavy twill and leather
provide the necessary stability. The shift dress with zip details and the T-shirt dresses are other highlights for summer.
Embellishments with 3D effects and big statement necklaces add chic to the glamorous “sport de luxe” look.

MODERN ROMANCE
Softer, more feminine fabrics define the look at the middle of the season. Last year’s sorbet shades are more grown up.
The look remains feminine but tough, soft and cool at the same time. Exclusive materials such as silk, lace, organza and
suede in the new nude shades give the collection a calm, very feminine style. Everything is played in soft colours,
creating soft, gentle looks that are further enhanced by filigree embellishments with 3D effects such as raised flowers on
embroidery or organza, beads and sequins, and romantic prints of stylised flowers or paisley. It’s all right to play with the
lengths and feminine silhouettes of trousers and skirts. Soft, flowing trouser skirts (culottes) and long palazzo trousers
are the height of fashion, and alternate with full-length dresses in chiffon or jersey. Fabrics with a proportion of stretch
add stability to feminine A-shape dresses, circle and skater skirts. They are combined with flowing fabrics such as silk
and pleats. The material mix remains important for knitwear. Lots of new summer knit fabrics such as a kind of “knitted
Neoprene” are being used for dresses, skirts, blazers and jackets, thus creating a trendy, brand new statement. Seductive
see-through elements, lace and chiffon provide the delicate “modern romance” look. Blazers in soft imitation leather or
knitted and flowing blouse blazers with no fastenings look casual, and exude a certain lightness. Much evidence of metallic
elements, especially for accessories. Shimmering clutches and statement necklaces must be included in every wardrobe
in the coming season.

ETHNIC GLAM
High summer will include plenty of influences from various cultures. Patterns, colours and designs will encourage the
s.Oliver PREMIUM customer’s thoughts to float off into the distance and dream of exciting travels. Flowing fabrics,
oversized silhouettes, maxi dresses and skirts, embroidered tunics and kaftans radiate an exotic flair. The fusion of
South American, African or oriental styles and patterns discharges in a sea of orange, curry red, indigo, natural green
and brown sand. It’s a festival of bright spice colours and neutral earth tones. Natural fabrics such as linen, cotton,
washed silk and bast enhance the home-made character. Gold metal yarns woven into chunky knits add a touch of
elegance. Embellishments such as embroidery, appliqués and gold or bronze metallic effects are important. And once
again leather plays an important role, whether smooth or suede, this time in the colours sand and cognac. The trend
for metallics is seen predominantly in the accessories.
Statement necklaces, wide and narrow leather belts, saddle or fringed bags complete the summery “ethnic glam” look
with stylish confidence.
